Anna Kresge Memorial United Methodist Church has a strong tradition of sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ in the Cedartown area. Begun in 1905, Kresge has grown from faithful ministry in the Goodyear Mill village to the present location at the fork of Booger Hollow Road and Cave Spring Road. Kresge is a place where tradition meets the future with great thankfulness, joy, and expectation. Ever grateful for those in the past who labored in the Lord so long and diligently to make a place for the present generation, the people of Kresge are mindful of the inheritance given to them. The church takes seriously her responsibility to grow the Kingdom of God so future generations will have a place to joyfully worship and serve the Lord in the Wesleyan tradition.
The church is proud of what has been accomplished with the help of God, but looks with great expectation to what God has in store for the future. This body of Christ knows that greater days are ahead for Kresge UMC as the church reaches out in word and deed to the surrounding community and the world.
I am deeply humbled and grateful to be the pastor of Kresge UMC, a church that has been, is and will continue to be the church it is, by touching peoples' lives at the point of their greatest need spiritually, physically, and emotionally.
